Calanthe speciosa (Bl.) Lindl.

A truly Montane species.
Again, we came across this magnificient plant (being the largest in the Calanthe family) flowering profusely. It was around 18 degrees Celsius with the wind blowing above 6,000 feet above sea level.

Nope, the sample plant we took to grow lowland did not do well and did not flower at all. That was 5 years ago. It is also strange that yellow colored flowers such as the Spathoglottis aurea Lindl. and the Trichotosia ferox Bl. also did not flower.
